Syrian Nuclear Reactor and Israeli Bombing–IAEA Report
In 2007, Israel Air Force fighters bombed a site in Syria they claimed was a site for nuclear weapons. In a new report, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says the complex did resemble a nuclear plant and that Syria must cooperate with the United Nations.The report explicitly states that Israel did carry out the bombing, which Israel has never confirmed publicly. It also accuses Syria of refusing to allow inspectors access to this and other sites. The Syrians have refused to produce documents for the site as required.
