Jordan Strengthening Arab Ties

Jordanian Prime Minister Nader Dahabi will visit Damascus today in an effort to strengthen ties with the Arab community. He and members of the Jordanian private sector will be discussing economic relations with Syrian officials, focusing on trade between the two countries. They will also be reviewing Wihdeh Dam issues because of their electricity interconnectivity project as well as old agreements that need to be updated.

Jordan and Qatar will also be signing a protocol that will allow for Jordanian workers to go to Qatar in order to find jobs. This will be signed on November 24 when King Abdullah visits the country. The hope is that this agreement will enhance investments between the two countries.

Sudan, Tunisia and Egypt are also on the list of countries crucial for Jordan officials to visit. King Abdullah will be visiting Damascus as well in the upcoming week.
