Today NATO and Israeli officials met and agreed to boost anti-terrorism defense for Israel. This includes strengthening alliances, and boosting military ties. NATO went through Israel’s cooperation agreement and approved improving and providing support in the areas of anti-terrorism and military. Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, who was present at the discussions with NATO and other Arab countries, agreed with the decision to boost security ties with alliances. NATO released information that the new agreement includes a clause protecting the confidentiality of information passes between allies and Israel.

NATO has already signed a similar contract with Egypt and hopes to sign one with Jordan soon. NATO continues to work on their anti-terror effort “Operation Active Endeavour” in the Mediterranean region.
