In Jordan, Conference on Water
Jordan will finally be hosting the Euro-Med Ministerial Conference on Water on December 22-24 at Dead Sea. The conference was postponed from October 28 because the government wanted to wait until a settlement was reached over the membership and participation in the Union for the Mediterranean. This new date was coordinated between the joint French-Egyptian presidency of the Union of the Mediterranean and Jordan.
The French ambassador to Jordan, Denys Gauer, said that Jordan will be the country that will benefit most from this conference. The purpose is to define the prominent challenges and difficulties, in addition to solutions that will address the water shortage.
