Yemen, Qatar, Cyprus and Jordan to Test Gaza Blockade
With a recent blockade of the Gaza Strip put in place by the Israeli government, there is no way for humanitarian aid to reach the area. A ship from Qatar carrying 3,000 tons of humanitarin aid has already tried to go through the blockade, but authorities sent the ship right back to where it came from. Yemen, Qatar, Cyprus and Jordan have plans to send ships at different times carrying humanitarian aid for the region.
Because of the blockade 70% of the Gaza area is without electricity. The United Nations has even ceased trying to aid the regions because of the eighteen month long blockade of Gaza.
