Combating Violence Against Women in Jordan
Uniting and organizing national efforts is said to be the most effective method to combat violence against women in Jordan by activists and officials. The Jordanian National Commission for Women (JNCW) has already made recommendations for a draft that proposes certain efforts to be made in order to protect women and were made available to the press a week after the national conference on International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women ended. The participants of this year’s conference also want to focus on increasing male participation.
This conference took place on November 25 and among the participants were local officials, activists, students and artisans.
